Quando forem indicados procedimentos cirúrgicos e alguns exames invasivos, o Médico Assistente orientará o paciente e/ou seu representante legal sobre os riscos e benefícios envolvidos.

Essa prática é formalizada por meio do Termo de Consentimento Informado, preenchido pelo médico e assinado pelo paciente e/ou seu representante legal. Esse documento é assinado em duas vias, sendo que uma é anexada ao prontuário e a outra entregue ao paciente ou seu representante legal.
